Latest vid...now with sound
So I managed to finally record Fisherman's Hornpipe with few enough mistakes that it might be dancable. Took me a while to figure out how to play the music and record the tap sound of the steps at same time.
Went with melodeon rather than fiddle version....as easier on the ear.
Are the steps adapted to certain tunes? When I see your steps they so perfectly fit in the rhythm of this tune, but wouldn't necessarily fit with another.
You can put any steps to any hornpipe but if there is a particular rhythm in the stepping which suits a certain hornpipe, then why not put them together! Whatever appeals to your ear!
I guess it's like using different bowing patterns to tunes that doesn't have them naturally in the tune. That's why I rarely use bowing patterns. Or learn to clog...
